Wendy meets Health Health Secretary Matt Hancock at Warrington Hosiptal



Wendy Maisey and Andy Carter (PPC Warrington South) spent a morning with Health Secretary Matt Hancock at Warrington Hospital, seeing the fantastic work done there and discussing priorities in health care.


Key outputs from Matt were:


โŒ The NHS is NOT FOR SALE; ๐Ÿ’ฐ We're investing ยฃ34Billion per year by the end of the next parliament; ๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€โš•๏ธ We're increasing GP numbers by 6,000; ๐Ÿ‘จโ€โš•๏ธ Increasing nurse numbers by 50,000; ๐Ÿ’‰ Increasing Primary Care Professionals by 6,000; ๐Ÿ…ฟ๏ธ Free parking for staff and users; ๐Ÿ—“ Creating 50 million additional GP appointments; ๐ŸŽ“ Offering between ยฃ5,000-8,000 annual grants for trainee nurses; ๐Ÿฅ Building 40 new hospitals over the next 10 years, on top of the 20 upgrades announced in the summer - Warrington is on the list; ๐Ÿ’™ Introducing cross-party proposals to tackle social care.


If elected, both Wendy & Andy will work tirelessly to ensure that local health services are properly invested in, as well as campaign for a new hospital here in Warrington.
